Works
on paper
Through Jose
Gurvich's paintings, drawings, water color paintings
and tempera paintings, the spectator gets closer to
quick notes, projects, elaboration process moments,
varied instances of the creation process and to spontaneous
and intimate aspects. At the same time these works give
evidence of the artist's varied interests throughout
his career.
Oscillations and the drawing gesture and caligraphy
are witnesses of subjective and sensitive aspects. The
trace of gesture, and therefore of what is spontaneous,
records impulses, pauses, startings and inclinations.
Meditation moments, instances of a more rational control
and other more spontaneous moments are captured on the
paper.
